91Ƶ Student Life Office “Pie-in-the-Face” RSO Policy

The 91Ƶ Student Life Office recognizes that one of the benefits to becoming a registered student organizations (RSO’s) is the importance of RSO sponsored events. Pieing or a Pie-in the Face is defined as the act of a pie being received in the face of a participant.
91Ƶ recognizes the popularity and entertainment value that such RSO sponsored events have within the 91Ƶ community. However, proper precautions must be in place in order to ensure the proper safety of 91Ƶ students, faculty, staff and guest participants. 91Ƶ is committed to maintaining a safe campus environment that supports learning, living and leisure activities within the 91Ƶ community. Pie-in-the-Face events are to be entertaining and not harmful to participants.
RSO sponsored “Pie- in the Face” events and/or fundraisers on university premises must be approved a minimum of 1-week in advance of the event by a designated university office/department/personnel.
