If you know who placed the hold, contact that department.

You can view holds in your PAWS account:
Go to PAWS
Click on the "Student" tab
Then, go to "Student Account" link
Click on the "View Hold" link

Off-campus students who need instruction on how to use electronic resources can contact a librarian for help by going to then clicking on Ask a Librarian (located on the left-hand side under the “Help” section).

How do I access my user ID and password?

New IDS students can receive their ID and Password from an academic advisor in the IDS office by calling 217-581-5618. Students who previously attended Eastern and are now returning after a brief absence, can call the ITS Help Desk at 217-581-4357 for ID and Password information. Please have your E number available when you place the call, as it will be needed in order to provide assistance.
