Licensure Information

Our department and the Regional Offices of Education do not automatically start the licensure process for students. Students must initiate and apply for their Illinois Teacher Leader Endorsement, Principal Endorsement, or Superintendent Endorsement through the 91成人视频 Department of Educational Leadership and College of Education, as follows:

REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSURE

Master's Degree in Education / Teacher Leader Endorsement (MSED)

• Successful completion of MSED degree in Educational Leadership (Teacher Leader)

Master's Degree in Education / Principal Endorsement (MSED + PEP)

  • Students must apply for graduation and the MSED/TL degree must be posted (33 hours of coursework) ...

  • Completion of the PEP Portion of the program (EDL 5630, EDL 5891, EDL 5892, EDL 5893);

ENDORSEMENT APPLICATION PROCESS

Current Students or Alumni Who Have Completed Requirements in the Past Three (3) Years

Students who have completed the degree requirements for licensure in the past three years must complete the following forms:

Once the forms have been processed you will be sent an email outlining what you need to do to complete the process. It is very important that you do not apply for your endorsement directly with ISBE prior to being notified.

Students are now responsible for sending their official transcripts to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). This includes any universities as to which transfer coursework has been applied toward the degree of completion or licensure.

Alumni Who Have Completed Requirements Beyond Three (3) Years
